Here is a partial list of frequently asked questions.

Q. How can I verify that Fundamental Research Laboratory (FRL) is an exempt organization?

A. Organizations exempt from the United States federal income tax are listed at the official web site of the United States Internal Revenue Service. For your convenience, you can just follow the link here to search for the organization and check the exempt status.

Q. Is there a limit on the amount of my contribution to FRL?

A. No. Any amount of contribution is welcome. The more you contribute, the more we can fund the research.

Q. Is there a limit on the amount of my contribution to FRL that can be deducted for income tax?

A. Yes. The limit is 50% of your taxable income each year.

Q. If I contributed some cash to FRL, do I need some proof to claim the tax deduction when I file the tax return?

A. According to the Instructions for Schedule A (Itemized Deductions), you do not need to send any proof to IRS when you file your tax return. However, if your contribution is at least $250, you do need to keep a statement from FRL for your records.

Q. When I contribute money to FRL, can I list one or more things on which the money should be spent?

A. Yes, you can.

Q. Why should I make a donation to FRL?

A. By making a donation to FRL, you can not only save your tax dollars, but also help us financially to make more progress in research and enhance the well-being of our society and do good to everyone. So this is a win-win deal. We listen to what our donors say, respect our donors' wishes, and welcome the input from our donors (see the question above). The donors can get the detailed information about how their donations are used.

Q. I am working for my employer on a project which you might be interested in. Is it possible to do some joint work?

A. Yes. We are always open to such possibilities.

Q. I am interested in doing some research. Is it possible for you to provide support?

A. Yes. Please tell us the research you are interested in doing first.

Q. I am interested in some of your works. Can you send some to me?

A. We can send you some technical reports, pre-prints, and/or re-prints if available. A nominal processing fee is normally requested though not necessarily required.
